New Unlocked Android Connectivity Issues

Hi Everyone, I recently purchased a Leagoo Lead 2 (unlocked android phone), when I place a Koodo sim card in it, it connects with a low signal (2 bars) and will send texts and make phone calls and connect to the internet for approximately 1 minute and then the signal completely disappears or if the phone goes to sleep the signal cuts out and I have to manually search for the network again. Things to note: I have changed the APN settings as discussed in other threads. I live in a great coverage area (full bars with my iphone). The phone does support Koodo's frequency (WCDMA 850/1900/2100). I have also tried setting it to "3G only". I have also noticed when it connects and updates my time zone it is a good 2 - 3 hours wrong... Anyone have any ideas? Or is this something I am going to have to phone tech support for? Thanks! 🙂

I'm not familiar with this device and you'll likely get limited support as it's not a phone sold through Koodo. That said, it looks like your device may have a firmware update waiting and it mentions a fix for the radio which may correct the issue you're experiencing. You may need the upgrade tool as well. Edit: the radio refers to an onboard FM radio I presume. Also, check your phone for updates, Settings > About phone. It appears that the manufacturer is able to send critical updates over-the-air to your device. How is the Lead 2 now? do you still use it? does it function properly?
