Received my new A71 Samsung today and when I tried to install the SIM card it came off the little drawer and is now stuck in the phone.. contacted local koodo dealers in my area.. and they refuse to look at it.. not sure what I should do now.. can I send the phone back or attempt to remove the card myself

Try contacting or visiting these walk-in repair shops; uBreakiFix, or Mobile Klinik.

If the SIM card is lodged deep inside the SIM slot, leave it up to the pros with specialized tools to free the SIM card. If poking around with tools not designed for this task, it’s possible to bend or break the pins inside the SIM slot which would make it impossible for your A71 to read a SIM card.

Try to recruit somebody who is technically inclined to help ‘liberate’ the SIM OR

Google ‘How to remove a stuck SIM card’  and see if you can apply it to your stuck SIM For example:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZI434JyF_tg

Try another promising hack (only try the first demo) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5fWZ6VRXB28

Hi Stacy,

Because we are talking about a new device, please contact my colleagues from

koodo.web store@koodomobile.com  and see what you should do in this situation. You might go also in a walk-in repair shop, but I’m afraid you might lose your warranty.

Best regards,

Helen
