new phone, old account


My old phone has gone for a swim and is fried. I have purchased a new koodo prepaid phone but am trying to activate it with an existing account and sim card but don't see an option on how to go about this... how is this done?

If the sim is active and functional, all you have to do is insert it in the new phone

What if u had to get a new sim card cuz the new phone needed the micro

In case someone else has the same question as Harry, here is Sophia's most excellent answer to this (for Koodo prepaid): [i] Hi Harry, Did you buy a new SIM card? After that you'll need to log into self service using this link: https://prepaidselfserve.koodomobile.com Then click the tab "Base Plan & Boosters", then "Change SIM Card". Enter the number that is on the back of your new SIM card there and it will be registered with Koodo with your old account and your number 🙂 Then insert it in your new phone - DONE 😃
Upon further investigation I've discovered the old sim is about twice the size of the one that came with the new phone.

If you were on prepaid before you'd need to get into self serve and swap the handset. If you were on postpaid, you're going to need a new sim
