New 10 gig offer

Koodo is offering 10 gigs of data (as all the providrrs are as of this date). But this does not apply to existing koodo customers. My wife and I have been with koodo for 7 years (at $60 each per m)and I also have a telus land line. So I guess I have to switch to another company to get this deal. Which is a shame as Koodo has been great for 7 years.

It is available for everyone, You can add a new line on your account with the new plan.

You can switch but you would have to call Koodo and wait 2,3 hours as everyone else is doing that. Other way is to go with Telus, but that is your choice. Same deal.

Thanks for your input Azure. Customer service is overloaded right now. I will wait and see if anyone from koodo is interested in keeping us as customers. Otherwise tomorrow (sunday 19th) I will switch to telus ( which is no harm to koodo) . I originally came to koodo because of their no frills/no mess/ 10 out of 10 service. I don't need to pay for another 2 lines otherwise I would choose that option. Cheers mate!

I don't think they will come to you. Even with Telus, you would have to go to Telus store to get that activate. You would have to pay for their Telus SIM and line up. Overall 2,3  hours still needed.

I would suggest you call Koodo very early in the morning, when they start working.

Ok so after being on hold for over an hour 1st thing this morning and realising there was more to life than listening to dead air I went to my local superstore and changed to Telus. Paid for the sim cards ($40 for 2) and now getting on with the rest of my day. Nice chatting to some of you guys. See you again in 2 years.

That are giving it anyone who is an existing customer and brought there own device to Koodo now. However, you either have to be on hold for 2 hours with the Loyalty department or out in for a Call Back from them. I finally got through and the loyalty department will call me back on Wednesday to change the plan. He said there were too many complaints about them not offering it to existing customers as well...

If you're in AB, BC or Ontario they aren't advertising it. Just go into the store and set it up if it's a new account. I'll refer you.
I am so disappointed, why koodo is so mean to its existing customers?? like only new activation can get the 10-gig plan or the extra 2 gigs, existing customers get no promotion at all...

"You get 2months for free GB of data ". I was told that today in the 3-5 minutes I actually spoke to someone. I told that is joke.

Since koodo is essentially contract free cant I just cancel and then resign for the 10 gig?

Yes, but you would need to pay out any device balance, and obtain a new phone number.

You can change. Only one plan change per billing cycle though.

Will anybody ever answer my call tonight? I'm tired of being on hold
Was on hold for 45mins and finally got to talk to an agent that said I had to be transferred to another department that is specifically dealing with these transfers. Waited on hold for another 2hours and then got a message saying I should try again later and disconnected. Koodo is shit, and this experience is prompting me to leave. I am going to go to the mall tomorrow and see who offers the closest deal to this and change. Koodo treats it's customers like trash and by extension so does Telus. So sad as i have been with them for almost 6 years.
Write a replyHave been a Koodo customer for over 10 years. I see the special deal of 10GB Data for $60 all over the news feeds. So I go to the Koodo web site, not a single word about it anywhere. Went to the Kiosk in Woodgrove Mall, Nanaimo to check it out and find that it is only available to NEW customers. All of your loyal customers who have been with you for years can not get it. I was actually told that I could go to Telus and get the same deal as I would be a new customer with them.
That makes no sense at all. Sure I could go to Telus and it would basically be with the same company, with the same coverage, but that is not the point. Why can't your regular customers actually be given a deal once in a while? Does customer loyalty mean absolute zero to you?
If this is the way you want to "reward" your loyal clients, you are going to start losing them. I for one, am seriously looking at other companies. Now that my phones can all be unlocked for free, there is no reason to have to stay with a company that does not appreciate my business.

The loyalty department can be reached by phone. There's nothing in store employees can do. Mind you, the wait times have been quite long the past few days
