Need new phone: Should I go to the kiosk or is online just as good?

My iPhone is having a hardware issue that would be approximately $85 to repair. I'm thinking its just time to upgrade. I'm not loving the selection available online. Are the kiosks usually better for selection? Its been a while since I've been to our nearest one.

Hi Briana,

When it comes to the Koodo kiosks the selection will be the same as it is on the website except when you purchase a phone in store you have the option to choose any tab you like as opposed to only having the choice of the tab small on the website.

Hope that helps 🙂

Keep in mind that if you have any left over tab balance you can choose to add it to your next invoice or you can pay it at the Koodo kiosk when you decide to upgrade. Just thought I'd add that in there 🙂

My current Tab is already paid off, with $26 in my favour.

They show all of their phones they carry on their website. So, selection itself won't be different . That said you can't buy all the phones online if you want a medium or large tab. So, you are likely better off going to a koodo store. The other plus is they will handle the transfers, set up and everything else. For you.

If you can wait a bit, the new iPhones are expected to be announced on Sept.9th, which should lower the prices of the current models when the new iPhones are out

Any particular model you're looking for? Maybe we can help. Koodo has a decent selection, not the greatest, but there's something for everyone.
I need something with good battery life and a really good camera. My phone is my main camera. I'd be open to a talk-and-text phone if you could get a good camera on it. I'm interested in the LG G3 or G4, Samsung Note 3, or HTC One.

Well Koodo will be getting the Note 4 as soon as it is available. The phone Koodo offers right now that would have the best battery life would be the Note 2. My girlfriend has the phone and loves it, regardless of the larger size of a device that it is. The camera is good as well but if you feel you can wait to upgrade, I'd wait to get the Note 4 as it is on top of the newest specifications, better camera and better battery life.

Ultimately it's your decision in the end 🙂 just thought I'd share some details so you have an idea.

Any news on how soon it will be available? Even before this my charging port was finicky, so I've thought about getting a new phone for a while. Just switched to the visual voicemail so that will buy me a few more days.

There's no news yet as far as I'm aware, but it shouldn't be too long to start being available to carriers in North America. Mobilesyrup.com has an article but no definitive date yet unfortunately. http://mobilesyrup.com/2014/09/03/samsung-canada-says-yes-to-galaxy-note-4-maybe-to-note-edge/
