NEED HELPP!

So I bought a samsung galaxy grand prime last year on a pay as you go contract. Last october to be exact. Now this august not even a year later my battery is so swollen its pushing my glass screen out of the phone AND just today the phone is just stuck on the black samsung loading screen before it starts. Phone has never gotten water damage. im wondering if I can get a new phone?/ is there anyway to fix this problem??

First......stop using the phone!! If the battery is swollen it's not a good thing at all. Unfortunately with pay as you go there isn't many options as to new phones but there is a few you just have to pay full price for it
not the greatest advice but its better than nothing, um Not using the phone is not an option for me unfournately . let me rephrase that, I literally bought it not even a year ago and theres nothing I could do personally from preventing this swollenness, is there no warranty or at least battery replacement? I don't see how this is quiet fair on my part

There is a one year warranty on your phone with a reciept. Bring it back to where you bought it or call in to Koodo to start warranty service. Also you Must stop using your phone. It could explode. Stop charging it.

You can bring it in to where you bought it to do battle with the warranty people who may hum and haw over a swollen battery. Count on it being away for a while.

Or buy a replacement yourself. Amazon or independent store. Will cost a few bucks, sure, but may be more convenient. Since you've waited till the faceplate is being compromised, you will probably get an argument from the warrranty folks.

The phone is worth $50-$80 [i]in good shape on eBay, the new battey costs $20. Think about upgrading the phone.

I don't get with the battery being swollen and all why isn't my phone starting completely and being stuck on the Samsung screen.. like what. there is no wway the phone is only worth that much, I only bought it last October. Im seeing used Samsung galaxy grand primes on amazon for 150 + . And like what happends when I buy this new battery and the phone doesn't start. like I don't get why it wont go past the Samsung start up screen. this upsets me so much because I had a lot of great family pictures that are stored on the phone's internal memory..

The phones internal parts have been compromised by the pressure of the battery and or by excessive heat. And Bob's right, you can pickup a replacement grand prime cheaply enough. Though I didn't find it for under 125$

When you do get your new phone consider using Google photos to store your photos in high quality online for free. It can be set to automatic backup anytime there is wifi. Never trust all your moments to a device.
