My number switched to Virgin but that phone is broken, how can I go about using my $50 prepaid Kyoko card on an old phone?

If the phone is unlocked, you can just insert the Koodo prepaid SIM in that phone and start using it... but I'm not entirely clear what you meant with the number switched to Virgin bit?

He switched to Virgin but the phone that was locked with Virgin broke. His old phone was with Koodo and this is all he currently has to use so he bought a Koodo prepaid card to use.

Appreciate your zeal, Allan, but there is no need for you to speak on behalf of customers, I am pretty sure they can do so for themselves 🙂

I wasn't trying to speak for the customer as I didn't give any new information, just explaining to you what he said in the op so you could understand! :)

I'm sure you mean well, but please don't do that Allan... I'm sure you can fill your time answering people's own questions, not mine.

I wasn't aware that I am not allowed to do that, sorry. Good to know for next time though.

I'm confusing too.
OP said OP's number switched to Virgin but that phone is broken.
S/he ported out number from Koodo and maybe was using her Koodo phone as well...?
You could be right, but some information need clarified by OP 🙂

@Allan it's not that you are not allowed to do the things you are doing, it's just that you are a little too eager at times.

We all appreciate your recent zeal in the community, but it's one thing to answer questions from a customer, yet a whole other thing to start interpreting what you think OP means and then explain your take on the situation to another volunteer trying to get to the bottom of things. It comes across as belittling, as if the other volunteer has little understanding abilities and needs to be taken by the hand.

Again, I really appreciate your goodwill, just... relax a little and don't feel the need to be in EVERY thread all at once - you are allowed to leave a little breathing space for others too 🙂

Anyway I'm sort of sorry to hammer this out in public and abuse poor Carly's thread for this, but sadly there is no way to take this to a PM conversation. Please understand I mean this in the best possible way... we're all here to help out customers, as well as each other.

That's all I was trying to do, just help everyone out. I didn't mean to come across as belittling anyone although I understand how it could have been taken that way. Sorry about that. I will try to tone down my eagerness a bit.
Have a wonderful day!
