My LG 3 phone keeps getting a no usim reading...why is this happening

The reason for this is usually a SIM card issue - yours may be failing.

Power off the phone and remove the SIM. Re-insert it and restart the phone. If the problem comes back, then I'd advise you to have your SIM replaced. You can get it at any Koodo store. Just make sure you get the postpaid one if on monthly or a prepaid one if you're on prepaid (they're different).

You can then activate your new SIM on Self Serve.

You're welcome. I'd bet it's the card then. I'd replace the card before worrying about the card reader. If it turns out to be the reader, that's something that'd be covered under warranty (if your phone is still under warranty).
