Moto G4 plus screen acting up

I just bought the Moto G4 plus and sometimes the screen starts acting up by itself. The app screens pop up on there own. And the only way to stop it is by turning the phone off and powering it back up. Anyone else have this problem?

If you just bought, then you're still under the 14 days satisfaction guarantee. If you don't like the phone you can return it. 

Also what do you mean it starts acting up?

Is it similar to this?

Quite a few people have reported an issue with ghost touches when they try to use their Moto G4 or G4 Plus while it is plugged in and charging. The notification shade might come down by itself, or they find that they can’t answer calls. Some people are also reporting severe lag on the touches that do work.

Mine is doing the same thing. Calling people on it's own! Switching to a numeric message when I'm trying to send a text message. Stuck on #9!!!
Went to Kodoo sales kiosk only to learn that Kodoo no longer sells Moto of any kind...have to wonder why?
Do they know the phone malfunctions in a matter of no time?
I've had to resort to my old phone so I at least have something dependable. LG
I'm very disheartened as I still have a fairly big tab to pay for Moto G4!
I sure hope they can help me on this "Tab"

If your phone is not working properly, and is within 12 months of purchase, you can access the manufacturer's warranty for a repair. The local Koodo store can help with sending it for repair.

Usually vendors choose models based on the deals they get with the manufacturer to sell the device, and the number of sales they see / expect to see of that model. If a particular brand sees poor sales, it is unlikely to be retained in stock. In some instances, the manufacturer chooses not to sell a model in Canada.

Koodo had mine sent back and repaired. I have had no problems since

Yes but it happens even when its not charging. Apps open and close like mad.The screen starts to go crazy - as if it's reacting to touches by itself, opening browser windows and apps, play store, home screen edit view, and settings pull down menu.

oh I am so with you.  my mg4plus also overheats.  I phone koodoo to see if there was something they could do but they will not assist.  said send it for repair but from what I heard that doesn't do the trick.   stuck with this phone as there even isn't a repair place near where I live.

You can bring the phone to your nearest Koodo store or request a return mailer, (Koodo will send you an envelope to mail youre phone in for repairs).

I'm experiencing the same thing. It drives me crazy! I'm ready to throw the phone out the window.

The Moto G4 Plus is an evolution of a budget phone. For something better, grab a Moto Z / Z Play.
All smartphones have their kinks. I would expect the Moto G4 Plus to be relatively stable. A factory reset might fix your issue (it'd wipe out any possible apps that could be bogging down the phone).

Thats what l did..sent it for a reset. Now l am in Germany and it has decided l need to talk my password or something

Mine just started doing the same thing, and its only 4 months old. A reboot would only clear it for 2 hours. Took it in and they are sending it in; I am hoping I get a new phone, but will see. I actually really like the G4.

Could you start a new thread if you have a different problem? You'll have to get the replaced phone sent back in then to get it fixed/repaired unfortunately.

I read online that it happens only to some of the Moto's. I'll return it and try another one. Hopefully it'll work properly.

Maybe you should try a factory reset first after backing it up. Also make sure it's running the most latest version of Android that is available for the device. If you've done that then yeah perhaps exchange it if your within the time period Robert laid out above.
Dear Koodo Team. I already got the promotion from last month. That $55 has 8GB data, Canada wide call unlimited , plus 1000 minutes for LD to China, Taiwan, Hong Kong for Quebec residents only. I about to move three more new lines for the same promotion. But too late that promotion end 10January. No longer see this promotion show on koodo website. I want to know if the customer service still able to add this promotion to my newly three more lines. For my family.
