Anybody know how to get it back?

If your media was also being used as ring tones you'll have to reinstall that media to use it again. The Moto G has limited internal storage. You may want to consider getting an OTG adapter for it so you can store your music on a flash drive or external card reader. You can always just transfer your ring tones back to the phone.
I figured as much, thanks for the info 🙂
Re-transferred all my music and ringtones onto the phone, and googleplay music wont recognize any of it, any suggestions?

Have you tried rebooting the device to refresh the media server?

Thats odd... This is why I avoid using GP music. I've never been a fan of it. The sad part is most of the Android music apps are propietary - HTC IMO has the best app, Samsung is pretty good too as is Sony. LG's is nothing to write home about and Motorola has been pretty much vanilla for the Moto X and G. As for a play store alternative, try Rocket Player.
