Mobile Data Missing from Quick Settings Panel (S5 neo)

I don't have a mobile data button in the quick settings panel. I know how to access the mobile data via the system menu but why press multiple buttons for a function when you only need one. (first world issues are rough lol) If you go into the edit feature of the quick settings panel still no mobile button.

Any thoughts?

PS: Had some issue with a LG product and switched to the S5 neo. I actually have cell service again, the LG was disappointing.

Hello Charlie

The S4 and Note 3 had the same issue with most American and Canadian carriers. The Mobile Data toggle was removed from Samsung. Many have posted this on the Samsung Facebook page, Android Authority, Mobilesyrup and many other blogs / sites. Samsung removed those for some odd reason without anyone knowing.

The alternative you can do is make a widget on your home screen or other page with it. This way u can turn it off and on anytime u like. You can also download like Juice Defender or other applications which can do this for u.

Seems to affect North American Galaxy S5, S6, S6 Edge, S7 and S7 Edge devices since upgrading from Lollipop to Marshmallow. European and Asian version phones reportedly have this toggle. I tried two .apk 'fixes' (QuickPanel restore and fixdatatoggle.apk) without success, (S7 Edge). Earlier versions of Android allowed this, but Android Marshmallow does not allow third party apps to modify "Data Enabled" settings for security reasons, so the chances of finding a standalone data toggle widget that will work is pretty slim. Hopefully Android N will address this issue.
Thanks for the reply. Like you guys say it appears to be a marshmellow thing. I contacted samgung and they said it was a security issue. Although the previous LG 4G I had did have the button and was running marshmellow. Perhaps it only a security issue for Samsung?

After tapping update, the app will prompt you to restart your S5 Neo. After the restart, the app will populate the quick setting area with the data toggle button. For some reason, do not disturb (DND mode) automatically enables itself, (you'll see a 'do not enter' icon appear in the notifications area). Swipe down to show all quick setting icons and tap the DND icon to disable. My only gripe, I didn't like how the signal strength indicators, (cellular and Wi-Fi), appear static, (no fluctuation in signal strength) and show full signal strength at all times. It might look different on your phone though. If you don't like the mauve colour scheme the app provides upon initial startup, the colour scheme can be edited by tapping the apps' Settings > Routines and either selecting the default routine then custom, or creating a new routine altogether. The app is easily uninstalled, however the phone will restart itself and re-enable DND mode once again.

That is one thing that really pissed me off about the S7 Edge. My workaround was installing an app called QuickShortcutMaker. It allowed me to install a link to the data usage page on my home screen.

People from other countries also report that the data toggle button is visible. Seems to be country-specific, though some are suggesting that carriers may have something to do with this. http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/help/mobile-data-toggle-t3335979
