If you didn't set up Abby security then yes You can log into Android device manager and set your phone to lock or erase the next time it grabs a wifi signal. If it hasn't already been reset

It may be tougher for someone to reset the phone. On Android devices with Lollipop 5.1 and higher, Factory Reset Protection is automatically activated when you set up a Google Account on your device. Once FRP is activated, it prevents use of a device after a factory data reset, until you log in using a Google username and password previously set up on the device.

If an unauthorized person tries to reset the device by another method, the device would still require log-in using the Google username and password. This means that if your device is lost or stolen, another person would not be able to reset it and use it.

There are ways to bypass FRP but many of the tutorials given are time consuming. In order to bypass FRP, the phone would have to be powered on and in most cases, connected to Wi-Fi. This could give you the opportunity, lock or erase the device using Android Device Manager (Find My Device).

Locating the device would require data, (whether mobile data or Wi-Fi) and location services to be enabled on the device itself.
