LG Nexus 4

My husband just upgraded to the LG Nexus 4 . It will not receive MMS messages. Yes, data is on, and can send fine, but cannot receive. I had this problem when I upgraded to the Galaxy Ace, and had to take it in to get Koodo to fix it. They couldn't tell me what they did,so I cannot fix it on his myself.. the APN is correct as to the other questions I have looked at. Help?!

Don't know if it will help but try going into the messaging app and press the menu button - then settings and make sure auto retrieve mms is checked off.

Yep, that's checked 🙂 Thanks for the idea. Not sure why we keep having this issue. It would be nice if they knew how they fixed mine when it happened. Can send MMS but cannot receive 😕

If you have unlimited SMS/MMS, Check on your Self Serve if Data has not been blocked by Koodo on your account, increase MMS limit in Messaging Settings, get rid of unwanted messages from your Inbox, Verify MMS settings in your APN are correct: MMSC: http://aliasredirect.net/proxy/koodo/mmsc Proxy server: 74.49.0.18 Port: 80 MCC: 302 MNC: 220

You've tried everything so far, call Tech Support for further help, they will reset your MMS profile and check if there is an MMS block on your account.

Anther thing that I don't know if will help but worth a try lol. Go into the phones settings and try deleting any other APN settings for other provider other than Koodo, so just leave koodo there by itself. Also make sure in your APN settings that APN type has mms enabled so it reads default, supl, mms

There's Koodo and Telus. Delete the Telus one?

You could try it but it's probably not going to do anything as my Nexus 4 shows Telus as well. Don't think that's the issue thought maybe there might be others like bell or Rogers. I'm stumped as everything seems to be set the exact same as mine and it works fine. I'd call koodo tech support & maybe they have to do something on their end perhaps.

Ya didn't think that would do anything at all. I think you'll have to call customer service /tech support and have them check their end, it's gotta be on their end. Only other option I'd try is power cycling the ohone but again that probably won't help. Call koodo it's gotta be on their end.

I will for sure. Hopefully I can run over to a location later today. Maybe I'll get someone who can actually tell me what was wrong and how it was fixed this time lol

Do you get any indication that someone has sent you a message or do they simply vanish into the ether? If they won't download it's usualy a phone issue, but if they never arrive it's typically the network.

Call tech support. Have them log a ticket. The problem isn't with the phone.
