LG k4 2017 no service in south korea


Have a brand new LG K4 2017 - to travel to South Korea - only getting intermittent service

Do you have international voice and data roaming enabled in self-serve? Do the frequencies match up with local carriers? How intermittent? Is it voice, text, data, any combination thereof?
International roaming was added at the same time as the phone was hooked up - I believe the frequencies match up- it's a Canadian Koodoo phone and she's in Seoul - up until noon yesterday she had been texting - the phone actually says "no service " - tried airplane mode toggle- Tried hard reset- tried pullimg sim card and restarting- nothing has worked- bought the phone Friday and she flew out Saturday

South Korea uses a limited number of frequencies. But as you said it was working up to a certain point. Go into network selection and select manual, wait 1-2 minutes for the list to populate, and then see if she can connect to any that way.

You could try putting the sim card in another phone to see if the problem follows. It could be an issue with roaming agreement or something else to that effect.
