I am pissed.

I have a problem with this phone sending double and sometimes triple texts. Sometimes it also drops calls. I need my phone for work as I am a medic. It's completely unreliable.

To top off all of this bullshit which has been going on for over 2 1/2 months the koodo selfserve call back doesn't work, when I try to ask a question the 'ask me' button doesn't work. I have tried on my cell phone, desktop mode, and on a PC. I am about to throw this phone and company away at this point. Very disappointing!

Sounds like either the service in your area isn't the best or there's an issue with your phone.

Have you tried a restart, resetting network settings, and/or factory resetting the phone?

As for Koodo Assist it's working for me on my phone and PC!

I just tested Koodo assist and it works for me.

Double and triple sending and drop calls sounds like you are not getting a good network connection. Does this happen while you are outside or inside? How many bars do you have when this happens?

Have you tried restarting your phone?

I have full bars. This happens all over BC and Alberta. Inside and outside. It happens when I have full it happens when its slim. I restart my phone a couple times a day and toggle airplane mode to temporarily fix the issue.

Quick and dirty: try another SIM. Flaky one will authorize/unatuthorize you for calls and texts.
Togging to airplane mode and back refreshes the SIM connection and cache.

Can be done easily if you drop by a Koodo boutique and test your phone/SIM with their known-to-be-good store SIM/phone.

Same issue here in New Brunswick. double triple texts sent. Also oil patch employed, returning to AB very soon - and need my phone to work. I believe it is the phone/network interactions.... but really how would I know, What am we paying for at the end of the day?
AND - MOST IMPORTANT - AFTER ALL THE SIM CARD REMOVALS, - RESETS - KOODO SUPPORT CONTACTING - COMPLAINTS THAT I HAVE READ AND SEEN, WHERE IS THE FIX!? I'VE DONE ALL THAT SHIT. WTF?

Ya I need to do hourly check-ins with the boys in the field.

I believe I have found the solution to my issues.

Settings>System>Reset Wifi, mobile & Bluetooth

I have had no issues with double text or the triples since. It has, however, only been one day but usually I have this problem twice or more in a day.

No kidding what the fuck am I paying for? Brand new phone and came with problems... What a fucking joke. The most idiotic thing is the customer service of this forsaken company didn't even know how to fix this. I found out by myself.

"We will call you back if we find any issues..." No call, but I still had issues. Anyway, seems to resolved.

Good luck and have a safe hitch.

Try getting a new sim and see if that fixes things

People on here blow my mind. I just said I fixed it another way.

I tried removing my sim and it did the same thing. It was a network reset which fixed it. I have had an issue with it in over a day now.
Knowing that this problem eventually came back for me after the same fix, and after every software update since, here are some details of my semi-permanent fix.

If you go into Settings -> Network & Internet -> Mobile Network -> Advanced, there is a setting called "Enhanced 4G LTE Mode". With this turned on, the double texting always comes back, but with it turned off, I have not had a recurrence. That said, many of the Android updates have re-enabled this setting, so it's a good idea to check after every update.

Also, my LG XPower (previous phone) had this setting and did not cause problems with it enabled on the same network.
