LG G3 (D852) gets data on HSPA but not on LTE

My partner has a LG G3 (D852, unlocked from T-Mobile when we lived in the States) and everything works on it with the exception of data over LTE.  Data works fine on HSPA, but when it goes to LTE it shows the send/receive arrows but with nothing actually loading.  Have double checked APN settings and the D852 supports Band 4 LTE.  I've had to turn LTE off, but I'd really like to get it working.  Any suggestions?

It could be your proximity to the tower. What sort of signal reading (bars) are you getting when you have LTE enabled?

Reception doesn't seem to make a difference.  At home it has about half bars but I've tried it out and about (Vancouver/Kitsilano) without any luck.  Also, my Nexus 5 works fine on LTE in the same spot.

Brand new, got SIM cards for both my N5 and her G3 from the Koodo store on 9/12.

Any chance we could get a screenshot of the APN settings?

Edit the APN type to show 'default' only and see if that works.

Didn't make any difference, even with a reboot.

I'm showing an asterisk on my One M9 under the APN type, perhaps give that a try. For some reason, I'm not seeing the 2100 MHz side of LTE AWS listed and only shows 1700 MHz for the D-852. Yet looking at the T-Mobile variant, I see the band 4 pairing of 1700/2100 MHz. I'm viewing the specs for the D-852 from GSMarena and they've made the occasional misprint in the past.

If all else fails, give tech support a call preferably from a landline phone (1-866-995-6636) when they reopen in the morning, (option 6 for tech support).

Oops, I realized I typed D852 which is the Canada variant.  The one we have is the D851, which does show Band 4.

And of course it does connect to LTE.  I'm trying to remember but I think when we first arrived in Canada two months ago and still had T-Mobile the G3 roamed onto Telus LTE.  So maybe this is a SIM problem or something in Koodo's computer not allowing access via LTE.  I'll try them tomorrow if I get a chance.

Thanks for all your help!

Aha!  Nevermind.  I tried the asterisk under APN type and that did the trick!!!  Woohoo!  Thank you!
