Koodo Warranty - Gift


I received the new Samsung S6 as a.gift, along with the receipt. I have barely used it. Unfortunately the home button is loose and rattles, making a sound. If I take it to a Koodo Shop, will I be able to get an exchange as it was purchased last Friday April 17/2015. Please let me know. Thanks.

As long as you have a Koodo account, you can send it in for warranty repair. If you don't, any of your friends with Koodo could send it in for you.

Since you have the receipt and you're well within the 15 day return period and provided there is no evidence of physical damage, you should be able to exchange the phone for a new one.
The phone initially purchased on is not under my account name. Would that make any difference?

It might, depends on the customer service rep. Chances are it won't. Worst case scenario is you could ask the original purchaser to accompany you or do the exchange themselves.
