Koodo please get the Note 4

Userlevel 3
Koodo please consider getting the Galaxy Note 4, Samsung has finally crafted a beautiful Flagship phone and it would be awesome if koodo continues to be the first sub brand to carry Samsung's Note line.

Considering what happened to another beautifully crafted phone (HTC One M8), I REALLY doubt we'll see the Note4 this year on Koodo. They MAY pull off another Note2, though, and bring the Note3 as last year's, cheaper flagship phablet. But the Note4? Nah, we won't be seeing this.

Umn David what happened to the M8

It didn't sell as well as it should have so Koodo discontinued it.

What a shame it was the phone I was considering getting. Ah well I guess I'll wait for the oneplus off invite and buy it then.

The One+1 is a beast though. Only their invite system is utter crap.

The invite system will hopefully be scrapped by October, I've just rooted my phone and installed CyanogenMod and I won't ever go back to another skin.

100% agreed on using AOSP firmwares! Transformed my M8 into its GPe counterpart and couldn't be happier!

There's actually a way to get the phone without getting an invite, there's a guy on YouTube who showed how he got it without one. Check it out 🙂 How To Get The OnePlus One Without an Invite!: http://youtu.be/5AcrP7RvhGI

Koodo's "culture" has historically been about budget, though (even though it may not be as apparent nowadays). So even though I was sad to see the M8 go so soon, I can the reasons why they axed it. In any case, I don't mind one bit about the whole mobile market shifting to BYOD at some point in the future. With phones available worldwide, for all budgets, and unlocked from the factory on top of that, maybe things will improve after all.

I agree the sooner subsidized market dies the better, Carriers will have to compete with their plans and services and customers will choose with their wallets. I look forward to the day the cartel of Rogers, Bell and Telus comes to a swift end.

No swift end in sight, I'm afraid, Mohamed. All they have to do is band up together, as they do so well right now, and the status quo will remain. As long as we'll choose "among the Big3", we'll get peanuts. What hurts is doing without. When every member of the Big3 sees profits falling, THEN things will change. Nothing will happen as long as their profits are padded up to the brink as they are right now. When the big Verizon rumors surfaced last year, all 3 suffered losses in their stock value. Within days we were flooded in ads on the radio and in newspapers. This, and only this (losing market value/share) will have an impact.
