Is my new Unlocked Verizon Samsung s6 compatible with koodo?

I bought a factory unlocked Verizon Samsung s6 and fear I've made a mistake. Can't seem to call or text with my koodo prepaid sim card. Have I bought something I won't be able to use with Koodo?

Does it show that it is connected to the Koodo network?

Yes the phone is compatible with Koodo.

Are you getting any bars when you insert the sim?
Try your sim in your previous phone.  Does it work?

Where to look for this?

Cant try my sim on last phone as it's a different size.  But registration was no problem with koodo with this prepaid sim.

Do you have any credit left on the prepaid card? Maybe that's the reason why I won't work.

Yes.   Fully loaded.

The prepaid is all new and fully loaded.  The phone uses nano sim, which my old phone does not, but I was able to register successfully. Through this forum, I learned about APN which I have updated to Koodo settings (it only listed verizon before).  I feel like there is still something I'm missing in order to phone and text...

In Settings>Mobile Networks>Network Mode
Make sure LTE/WCDEMA/GSM (Auto Connect) is selected

In Network mode, my choices are Global OR LTE/CDMA OR LTE/GSM/UMTS are my options.  I chose the latter. Correct?

See if LTE/GSM/UMTS  works.  But Global sounds like ti should work too

OK, global seems to be the default.
If I try to call it says Mobile Network Not Available

When global is selected, can you go to Network operators and manually select Koodo (warning this will take a few minutes to scan and detect the networks)

Network Operators remains greyed.  Not accessible.

Does your old phone still work? You can make calls and everything with it?

Oh, I lied!  It is showing my phone number.

Also, on opening screen I get a message saying "SIM card is not Verizon"

Doesn't ask for a code at all when it says that, that's weird?
