International roaming plan doesn't work


I purchased the international data roaming plan for $40, but the phone has failed to connect to connect to any cellular network whatsoever in the last 4 days in urban centers. It's infuriating, and caused me a number of serious hassles with being unable to text or contact others at important times. I've been working at this for hours. My phone can see all nearby networks in network settings, but fails to connect to them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check your plan add-ons in self-serve. Enable [b]international voice roaming and [b]international data roaming then restart the phone.

[b]Both are listed at $0 per month and are needed in order to make any kind of connection outside North America.

Apparently just doing the 00TEXT or 00BUNDLE to 5242 is not enough in some cases. It's something Koodo should look into since we answer this question once or twice a week.
Thanks for the reply. I can't seem to find international data roaming add-on. It's neither in the available add-ons, nor my current add-ons. The international voice add-on unfortunately gives me an error when I select it: "unable to process request". Is there another way to add add-ons?

If you have access to WiFi, download Fongo. They give you a real Canadian phone # and you can call anywhere in Canada for free, regardless of where you are - providing that you have an internet connection. You can then use this to call customer service at 1 (866) 995-6636.
