What plan do you have with how many minutes? You probably went over and without unlimited incoming if you're called before 5 you have to pay per minute.
My plan is 100 min/month , but this 100 min is included outgoing calls too? In other words 100min = incoming + outgoing?

Yes, that includes both in/out calls.

Yes, all airtime used on the Koodo network (outgoing and incoming) gets deducted from your minutes.

Only time it won't is if you have unlimited evenings and weekends.

@ Barbara
When  you make OR receive calls during day time, then it will use your anytime minutes unless you have an unlimited minutes or unlimited incoming calls.
You will be charged minutes overage charge  once you used up your minutes.

The minutes are AIRTIME minutes. Used any time your phone is using AIRTIME. Incoming or outgoing it doesn't matter. 100 minutes isn't much. You may want to consider upping your plan. Make sure you read over the details as well. If you have more questions about the plans you can come back here and ask.

I very seldom use my phone so I won't be upping my minutes.  Maybe I should try another provider.

Sure, you can try another provider if you think they have a better deal.
Or you can check Koodo's Prepaid plan if you don't use much phone. $15 Base plan give you unlimited texts, then by Talk booster(S).
Those booster doesn't expire and unused minutes/data will carry over. And they are offereing booster promo right now.

Of course you can check another provider's prepaid too.

Even if you choose another provider, airtime minutes are airtime minutes unless otherwise noted in your plan so make sure you get what you're going to need. Kooodo also offers add-ons that may make incoming calls free. Check them out in self serve.

Alireza, if you went over your minutes, you can find this information on your self-serve under the usage tab.
i was to have unlimited incoming calls and 100 outgoing calls.  what gives?  I have been charged for toll free calls that I don't remember. 411 says the are receiving calls, but do not have a fixed name.

Toll free calls use your minutes.
You can check your phone call information(making and receiving) through self serve.
