if someone finds my lost phone.. what can they access?

I lost my phone and have suspended service. If someone finds my phone what are they able to access? I assume they can see photos in my gallery, but can they see them in texts? or my emails if my gmail is linked up to my account? can they see text message history? Can they unlock my phone and use it on a different network?

If they can get into the phone. They would be able ot see contacts, gallery, emails if the phone has an internet connection, any other accounts you set up on the phone. Call Koodo and report the phone. Change the passwords for your Facebook, emails, Twitter, Instagram, whatever you have set up in the phone. Do that right away.

Just to add that reporting the phone as stolen to Koodo will prevent said phone from being used on any other networks in Canada. It may take up to 48 hours though

If you haven't password protected your phone? Anything that doesn't require an active cellular network connection to see. This includes emails and facebook when connected to wifi, as well as any picture messages already downloaded to the phone.

See if you can lock and wipe it remotely with Android device manager here: https://www.google.com/android/devicemanager

I think the data wipe needs to be enabled on the phone itself first in google settings, but if device manager will connect you should be able to locate the phone at least.

Thanks for the quick replies. So now that I've changed my passwords for email, facebook etc... they won't be able to be accessed through the phone? Tried the Android device manager thing to try and locate the phone, but location is unavailable. If the phones off would that make a difference?
