If I l lost my phone, but purchased a 2 year warranty with it, does that cover for replacement? If not, then what?

Loss isn't covered so you'd need to replace the phone on your own If your have a tab balance, you could pay it off and use a new tab to get a new device. Or bring an unlocked device from elsewhere

You could claim the lost phone on your insurance. You can have Koodo disable your line while your phone is lost (until you get a new phone). You could refer yourself as a second line, take advantage of refer a friend promo, keep the second line for 90 days, then cancel it and buy out the new phone, while benefiting from new activation promos (activation credits,.gift cards, etc.).

The increase in household insurance for such a claim might be greater than the value of the phone, especially if loss of a claim-free status is factored in.

If I have a tablet (which I do), can I turn than into a phone?  If so how would I do such a thing?

Hi Joel. You can use a tablet as a phone, but not the same way as a smartphone. You could put in a sim card (if it has a sim slot) and use only data off that sim card. For talk and text, you'd have to do it through an app (such as Fongo, TextNow, etc.) over wifi or data.

How would / is the voice quality over those aps?  Can I assume one would need a  headset as well?  Would my tab be transferable over to my tablet?

voice quality is surprisingly good and with some tablets you don't even need a headset. Your tab follows your account not your device. So if your tablet works when you insert your koodo sim then boom, there ya go.
