I went to London Drugs with my girlfriend to port both of our numbers over from Wind Mobile. We signed up separate accounts and we're given 100 mile house area numbers while our numbers were ported over (Vancouver area). I thought it was weird that the rep never asked for any information regarding our wind account except for the number. I called into Koodo later and the phone rep said there was nothing related to the numbers being ported. I gave him the information and the numbers were ported; everything was all good. Now I'm looking at the bills for both accounts today and there's a charge for $25 on each account for a Phone Number Change. Is this normal for numbers being ported over? I'll pay $25 to keep my number but I never heard anything about a charge.

Call into customer support and they should be able to help you out once you explain the issue to them. As it was within the first thirty days as well I'm sure they can do something about it. Normally though there is a $25 charge when you call in to do a number change.
