Have your checked page three of your bill. There's a summary that usually answers a lot of questions

Hi Edmund - I'm seeing that you purchased a $30 roaming add-on that gave you unltd. talk and text for 10-days. While roaming, you also used data, for which you were charged the pay-per-use rate since this wasn't included with your add-on, so the bill shows an additional $10 for this. The only other additional charge was a long-distance call to the U.S. from Canada - $1 for this.
