Download and install Samsung Kies from http://www.samsungapps.com, connect the USB port on the PC. Select Samsung Kies on the smartphone Kies, it'll display a pop-up icon saying software update available. Click update, check contacts Backup box before, then click Upgrade. Name phonebook file and click save. check allow saving box to save contacts to Kies server, then click next. the upgrade starts (or skip option), then proceed without saving box, then click next. it's recommended in case the Firmware update is not successful, phonebook data will not be lost. Click Close to exit Kies, phone will reboot, and phone is updated, I hope this will help.
I will try that. Just one more question. Will I be able to upgrade to Android 4.1.1 instead of 4.1.2.

Samsung's upgrade from Ice Cream Sandwich went straight to 4.1.2. Out of curiosity, why do you want 4.1.1 instead?

Difference between 4.1.1 and 4.1.2 can be seen in XDA-Developpers site: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2089045
