I have bought a new prepaid phone and want to switch my old prepaid phone number

I have bought a new prepaid phone and want to switch my old prepaid phone number to the new. Activating says I already have an account and changing the PIN number from my account has just made both phones unable to call or message out. SIM cards are different sizes.

You should still be able to navigate to Phone Services > Change SIM card on your prepaid self serve account. It'll show the current SIM card in use and a box is provided to enter the new SIM serial number.
Did that and both phones are restricted to emergency calls only.

The old SIM is no longer usable, so that's normal. Reboot the phone and let us know if that fixes the emergency calls only.
No dice.

Edit: I see where the 4-digit PIN number box is when setting up or activating a 'new' prepaid account. Since you already have an existing account, it's simply a matter logging into self serve prepaid, selecting Phone Services > Change SIM card. I've had numerous phones on Koodo prepaid over the years and have only had to activate one phone.

Send a private message on Koodo’s Facebook or Twitter page with both the SIM numbers. The reps have access to your account, which we don’t have on this board, and you will avoid waiting on hold in the telephone queue.
