I have a Samsung Nexus S  It is in mint condition -  fully charges.  Would I get any extra credit by trading in the Samsung for an iPhone?

It'll be worth something, only the store can tell you just how much. Don't expect a lot though. Nobody is going to pay very much for a 5 year old smartphone, no matter what condition is in.

I think you would be better selling it on the internet (Kijiji, Craigslist) then trading it in!
When you like my post, my boss gives me a raise, my dog is happier and my kids love me more.
