I cant connect to 5ghz networks on my Huawei P30 Lite

I just got this phone like less than a month ago. I love it a lot, but it doesn't connect to 5ghz wifi networks. Even though it says it should, EVERYWHERE. I'm extremely disappointed and I'm tempted to exchange the device.

Allan is correct. The Huawei P30 Lite does not support 5 GHz, only 2.4 GHz. Tested this on Wi-Fi Analyzer and only 2.4 GHz shows up.

Like 5g wifi or cellular?

Does it have the option in settings of your wifi settings ?

Wifi, and there are no settings that I can see for it.

A quick Google search shows others having the same problem.

Sounds like a phone problem, I simply dont think it supports it by the looks of it.

Yeah seems that way, what phone can't connect to 5ghz in 2019 like fr.

More a misprint on that ‘arena’ site. It happens on occasion. The absence of 5 GHz is a limitation of the Kirin 710 processor. The Kirin 980 processor, found in the P30 & P30 Pro, support ac or 5 GHz Wi-Fi.
