How to upgrade my phone online without interruption of service?

Hi, I'd like to upgrade my phone online. Is it possible to do it without interruption? Without loosing my phone number? How does it work? Like this? -I log to my account -Purchase the new phone on Koodo website and choose a new monthly plan. -I pay my existing tab -Koodo ships the new phone to me (without activating it first) -I receive the phone -I take the sim card from my existing phone and insert it in my new phone -I can now make calls and my next bill will take into consideration my new phone and new plan. Am I missing something?

You can choose a monthly plan independent of the purchase, but if you want one of the deals for upgrading the device then it would be as you state.
You will be billed for your old Tab on your next bill.
You need to pay for the new phone amounts up front, unless it is a $0 deal.

Hi David, I want to go with one of the deals with a phone at 0$. They put the value of the phone on the tab and we pay x $ on the tab every month. So, to confirm, it would be as I described in the first post? In that scenario, I would keep my SIM card right?

Yes, you keep your SIM.

OK, thanks for your help David. Happy Holidays!

In a nutshell, your service will not be interupted. You might have to change your plan depending on your existing plan vs. tab plan requirements. New tab takes effect immediately once you place the order, and the buy-out of your existing tab (if there is one) goes on your next bill.
Super! Thanks for the precision TitaniumTux. I appreciate that.
