How do I get rid of apps?

Okay so I finally bit the bullet and got my Koodo Samsung Galaxy s4 last week, ending my Bell Galaxy s contract (see ya!). The Koodo (Future Shop) rep transferred all of my apps direct to my new phone but that included pesky Bell apps that were installed by default on my last phone. How can I get rid of the BellTV apps? They don't show up in my application manager or my AppBrain app to allow me to delete these. Any suggestions are MUCH appreciated.

Can't you just hide the apps? Either that or root your G4...

You should be able to remove those apps as they're not a part of the Koodo S4 build. You should go into your Play Store app and remove those apps from your app list (My Apps) so they don't get automatically re-downloaded. If there's really no way to remove them, your only option is to do a factory restore. They shouldn't come back as they're not a part of Koodo's ROM.

A factory restore would get rid of all your otger apps too I would just disable updates, remove from My Apps in the Play Store and hide it. I did that with my phone when I brought it over from my previous provider.

Those Bell TV apps are separate downloads available on the Play Store regardless if you are with Bell or not. If you got the Bell Galaxy S4 then they're pre-installed and non-removable, but if they transferred over after putting in your Gmail on your Koodo S4 and you still can't delete them, then just hide them.

No, my S4 is Koodo so they transferred over with my Google apps. I'll try to delete it and see what happens.
Thanks guys for the helpful suggestions. I'll fiddle with it tonight and see if I can get Bell gone. They installed so many unwanted apps on the original Galaxy, it'd be nice to finally be able to get rid of them.

Agree, I don't like all this cr*pware either that carriers seem to insist on. Good luck on removing your unwanted apps 🙂

Settings > Apps > There you will find all the apps on your phone. Tap on the ones you want to remove. You don't need no crazy wipe out. You will lose everything.

Did you try to disable them? Settings--> Applications--> All--> "Bell TV" You might need to first click "Uninstall updates" if they've been update via the Play Store before that option appears.
