How can my data usage be up when I haven't used it?


I turn off my data and only use my wifi for data. I have turned on my data maybe 3 times since I got my koodo phone September 9th. Yet, my usage is saying I'm at my monthly limit. I got my first bill about 3 days after I got my phone and paid it a week or so later. My bill says I have no balance owing. Then on October 9th I get a text saying if I pay my bill by October 6th it will be one amount. Ummm, ok that was three days ago and I'm not a time traveller. Then today, October 15th I get another text saying if I pay by November 6th my bill will be yet another amount. Plus the data thing, I'm not sure what's going on?? It makes no sense that my data is used up for the month when I don't use it and which text bill is correct?

Apps can update in the background very quickly (especially on LTE) whenever you turn data on. I swear I downloaded an 85MB app in what seemed like just a minute (ok it might have been a couple of mins). My recommendation is to ensure you are connected to a strong wifi signal (even if there is no active connection to the internet on that wifi). Then turn on data to do your picture messaging and please remember to turn the data back off.

Log in to your self serve and refer to the ebill. If you are sure you paid it in full then you should be good. Maybe double check that you paid it to the right account if you did online banking or something. If the texts worry you then I would give Koodo a quick call (*611 on your koodo cell, it's a free call). I personally have the text notifications off. I just get an email notification regarding my ebill
