How can I cancel a phone/number from my account?

I need to cancel one of the numbers in my account. Tried calling but I really don't have all day to wait on hold.

You need to call into cancel.  There should be a call back feature where they will call you so you are not waiting on hold forever

They do not offer that when you say you are cancelling. Poor service. Giving serious thought to cancelling both lines if they do not come back soon.

You need to call in if you want to cancel, and they are offering a call back feature.

Do you have a question about your plan,  service , phone or bill... etc?
Maybe we can help you?

Hmm, never got an option to have them call back.
I wonder if I just go through self help and Suspend that phone. Is that enough to get it off my bill? We'll never be using it again anyways.

No its not and you'd still be responsible to pay the suspension plan fee monthly. The only way to cancel is call in and speak to a rep.

Suspending only prevents calls etc. being placed from the phone. It does not stop your account, nor payments to it. Suspension is meant to protect you from high use if the phone was lost or stolen.

Weird.  I pressed 0 until I was waiting for an agent.  Then it gave me the option to leave a call back number, which I did without hesitation

Third time around. Should be getting a call back in about ~30 min. Fingers crossed.
What's with the $10 fee tho. I would cancel on line but no option so we shouldn't get charged.

The fee is only for changes that you can do yourself on self serve.  Since you cant cancel on self serve there is no fee.

*611 from your Koodo phone

Is there no way of cancelling an account in person at a kiosk? I've been on the phone for well over an hour here.

Unfortunately no. You must speak to a rep to cancel.

If they gave you the option, use the call back feature

Hey Dianne, why are you canceling? Are you planning to bring your number to another carrier? If so you don't need to call in.

Just tell your new carrier you want to bring your number and they will handle the cancellation of that line for you.

I have a number that is on my account and that is not being used?
How do I cancel the number?
Can I cancel the number by Self Service or do I have to contact the customer service?

Robin, You have to contact koodo directly through either a twitter direct message or through Facebook messenger http://m.me/koodo Dont bother calling in. The wait is incredibly long. Fred

Facebook usually takes a couple hours to respond but like Dennis said cancelling has to be done over the phone.
