grindr


Profile photos and sent photos only load over wifi and not over mobile data on grindr. Htc one m7 here.

Is that problem present only with Grindr? I'm not familiar with at the app, perhaps there an option in the app settings to disable use over mobile data. I suggest you check it out there if your other mobile data works fine. If not, I recommend uninstalling and re-installing the app.
No option to disable use over mobile data. And ive uninstalled and installed multiple times with no changes. Ive used mobile data with a british sim card in the uk and everything works fine so it has to be a problem with the network or my own koodo account.
Same issue here with a Samsung S3. Found help on Grindr support, someone have the same problem on Vodacom, resolution was: Please call Vodacom and request 'unrestricted IP/APN Data' Is that something Koodo do?
I have the same problem with Samsung S4. I tried with Windmobile sim card and it works with no problem. Can you please advise?

Hey Zero! There is nothing much that Koodo can do if you're experiencing an issue with a third party app.   I strongly suggest contacting their team to troubleshoot further.  Thanks! - Melissa

Well, there is something that Koodo can do - fix it. I checked with the application support, did whatever they advise me to do, then tried with Windmobile card and Fido SIM card also, and everything works fine with the other companies. Only Koodo doesn't work. Well, it's black Friday in a couple of days, so I'm going to another company hopefully. It's been exactly a year since I switched to Koodo and a year having this problem, so I guess it's enough. Do you agree?

Facebook or Twitter?!? Do you have an email? O just don't want to call your number again and again and start everything from the beginning every time. You guys should have some account history or log.

Did you guys try calling Koodo and ask what Grindr tech support suggested?  I guess Koodo isn't open at night, so you'll have to remember in the morning 🙂
I'm wondering if anybody actually fixed this problem with Koodomobile. I just don't know what to do anymore. It's pointless to call them any more because everytime I do that I spend an hour waiting and explaining and when they realize the problem they advise me to wait for somebody call me from Koodo support after they take a deep look. And of course it never happened. Actually, it happened once, but they told that they were working on it. When I call again, I need to go from very beginning every time. I just want to know if anybody fixed the problem so I could try once again or Koodo just don't know how to fix it

Hi Zero, this kind of issue requires tier 2 investigation, where we would need to analyze some packet data traces in order to identify the problem. To do that, we need a little more information. I suggested to reach us via private message on Facebook or twitter, as it's a private and secure way to authenticate your account, without any of us having to post any personal info on this public forum. Not exactly, Danny. People have responded rather quickly. After being referred to Grindr support, there was no response from Zero for 11 months. Once he mentioned again that the problem is not resolved, further investigation happened.
