Get the Back off.


Hi, Thank you to the people who wrote back. Here is my problem... I am not a very techy person. So I will apologize ahead of time for the "I don't know answers." When I tried to make a call I got the "no service message". I came on here and read some of the messages posted by other people with the same problem. It is then that I noticed the phone is saying "No SIM card." I know there is a SIM card in the phone. So I thought ok just take it out and put it back in again. WELL!!! I finally got the protective thingy off and then the back and I can not figure out how to get the back open to find the SIM card. Sorry again for all the words. My phone is ... a Motorola Moto G Does that sound right? Can you help me?

Are you sure that's where the SIM card is for the Moto G. I'm not too familiar, but some phones have a sort of "ejection" slot on the side where the SIM card lives.

Thank you. LOL Did all that work and you are right. The SIM card is like my camera memory card. It popped out the side. Any ideas why it stopped working?

May be a faulty one. Try restarting the phone, if you haven't yet. If that doesn't work, it may be a faulty SIM card, and the Koodo store can replace it for you 🙂

The SIM card sometimes loses contact. I can happen with a bump of for seemingly no reason. If removing it, reinserting it, and then restarting the phone doesn't work, it's probably faulty, as Jordan said. There is a chance that the SIM card slot is faulty, but it's far more likely that it's the card. Finally, if something like this happens again, you should go to your settings and check your cellular network options to make sure that you're not set to 2G networks only. Koodo runs a 3G(UMTS/WCDMA)/LTE network.
