Galaxy SIII more competitive pricing since SIV is on its way?

Userlevel 6
Virgin mobile just copied our pricing for the SIII. Since the SIV is coming very soon, is it possible to lower the price of the SIII just like the sale price last week to $500? I think this would entice more people into buying the SIII with Koodo because Virgin offers 150, 300, and 500$ super tab. The 300$ tab with 45$ monthly plan seems very good with Virgin, Koodo offers the same but the tab with Koodo is only 150$. Virgin offers double the tab compared with Koodo.

I'm sure prices will drop again as the S4 launches. I personally don't care much about more tab, all that means that I owe someone that much more money for so much longer. Take my money now, don' make me die a long a torturous death of paying my debt for years to come. 🙂

I agree, your always better to pay for the device upfront as much as possible, & yes I'm sure we'll see a drop in price on the S3 by next month when the S4 hits shelves. I don't think it will be huge like some ppl are expecting but $450-$500 seems acceptable.

Well I hope it goes on sale again before the s4
Surprising how North America always wants sales. In other countries everyone pays full price for their phones and no one cares. Not saying this isn't a good idea Erwin, I mean...I'm sure the prices will lower when the S4 is introduced. It's just good business, Koodo will want to get rid of the older phones so that they can make room for the newer ones.

Hee hee, funny enough I always found the exact opposite: that North Americans don't care what their phones really cost, since they are so conditioned for getting it "cheap" on a contract 😉 In other countries it is much more common to shop around and buy it outright for the lowest price you can find. That said there will never be a day when I won't support discounts so I support this idea 😃

Hey Erwin. Thanks for your idea! We can’t comment on new phones, rate plans or services until they’re launched due to competitive reasons. If there are any new changes, we’ll announce it either here, Facebook or koodomobile.com. - Sumaya
