Freeze porting and lock my number to my current sim

I would like to freeze the porting on my account and lock my number to my current sim card. I tried to call the support but they told me that it's not possible to do it. Any Ideas?

Oh I think I get it. There is no way to prevent it. However, only the account owner can initiate a port so you don't have anything to worry about

 ph. Numbers are being stolen at an alarming rate.  If you're being told this can't be done ask for a supervisor and keep asking and to find someone that knows what they're talking about!!!

Port locking is now advisable!!!
