Yup. Wifi use has nothing to do with koodo network. So no carrier charges there.
Likewise, if a customer calls about their wifi not working, all that customer service/tech support can really do is make sure that wifi is turned on, on your phone, and then refer you to your ISP (Internet Service Provider).

Yes wifi is never charged by Koodo. Usually wifi is free, you just have to go onto your web browser and accept their disclaimer. But some places will require you pay for wifi. Payment info will be displayed when you try to access the internet on your browser. Usually personal wifi is password protected in order to connect.

Chad literally answered the question an hour ago and you felt the need to repeat it?

When someone is not familiar with wifi and they are using an email app it can be confusing why the wifi is not working. Wifi is more tricky and not as easy as cellular data where you can just turn it on and use it.

Actually, Dennis brings up a good point where some places charge for internet access via Wi-Fi. The Flying J near Headingley, MB is a good example. Some inns and motels may charge a wireless internet access fee upfront, or the fee may be included in the price of lodging.

Make sure whenever you are connected to a WIFI connection your Data is off, your phone will connect to the strongest signal and eventually if the Data is on and the wifi connection is very weak, you may incur in charges... To disable data you may go to settings / wireless connections / mobile newtworks and then disable use packet data... Remember to check your Self Service account once in a while to monitor your current plan... enjoy

Unfortunately on the iPhone the WiFi connection seems to supercede cellular data. In my case if I have a weak wifi connection, I have to turn off my wifi in order to use my network data to get a reasonable speed

That's not iPhone specific. Same thing happens on other platforms.
