fixing a charger connection port on a samsung a5 phone

i have a samsung a5 phone which won't connect to charge. i think its a physical issue with the port in the phone. it’s soldered to the motherboard, so the klinik won’t be able to fix it. does anyone have any short term solutions so i can retrieve the files from my phone before replacing it? or any recommendations as to who might be able to fix the port outright? thanks in advance.

I would recommend a third-party repair shop, the Galaxy A5 is pushing six-plus years old. There’s a cellphone repair shop in your area. Give them a call or send them a message via Facebook Messenger and see what they say. The shop mentions quick turnarounds for repair, (same day service).

It's basically a solder fix. Samsung can fix it. Or third party if you're willing to risk forgoing your warranty if it's been under a year. Without juice you're Sol to backup. It's gotta be powered on.

Thanks. i know it needs to be powered on to backup, i just wasn’t sure if this was a common issue and someone knew of some sort quick way to power it up somehow. it’s out of warranty by now, i wasn’t sure if a place like best buy does this sort of thing. i’ll def contact samsung though. thanks again for your help!
