Factory reset messed up my data cycle

I was having mobile issues with my Nexus4 so I did a factory reset about three weeks ago.  My data recycles on the 22nd of the month (I have only 500mb of data). It is not unusual for me to go over; so at the time of my factory reset, I was in the middle of my cycle and already beyond the 500mb. I wasn't too concerned. When the 22nd of August came around, my data cycle did not reset and my phone still shows, as of the 27th, that I'm way above in data usage as it is not reset.  I was going to call Koodo but it will cost me $10.  Anyone have idea what happens in this case?  Do I get a new data cycle based on the reset?  It appears to be the same on my actual account.

I just noticed on my account it says I've only used 80mb so the account itself is showing accurately but my phone says I'm way over 600mb and when I put my cellular data limit, the phone thinks I'm over and stops data access.

Settings>Wireless & Network>Data Usage

In the Data Usage screen, The first line is Mobile Data, second line is Set mobile data limit, the third line is Data usage cycle (from - to date shown).
Tap on the (from - to date shown).

You may have to turn off wifi when you do this

Yes match it to your account's billing cycle!

Thanks. I just used this to adjust mine as well.

Yes, because your phone cannot tell what plan you have. If you want the best display of your actual data usage, I recommend the Self Serve app rather than a data counter app because that's the info the billing system will use.
I also did a factory reset yesterday. I can't seem to change the dates, it just shows me Jul 21 - Aug 20 my data is renewed on July 25
ok, just found out how to do this !
