Existing monthly user/how to add a new phone as pre-paid


Adding a 3rd phone to my account as a pre paid. I want to give my oldest son an old koodo phone and activate it as a pre paid. I'd like to keep his phone connected to my account but have it pre paid and not monthly

Prepaid is considered a completely different account with different billing, web site, etc.

You can buy a SIM for the phone at a Koodo boutique for $20 and register it online. Retail price of the SIM is credited to your prepaid account on activation of your account.

It's a very smooth process, though you will just once have to enter all your billing information. If you register a credit card for automatic top-ups of the monthly base plan, you earn a 10% credit.

Going prepaid is a good choice for a young first-time user, since there can be no unpleasant billing surprises.

All prepaid accounts are stand alone.  Even a group of prepaid accounts cannot be be connected onto the same account.

But a group of prepaid accounts would be on the same website with the same billing structure.  

I'm just adding that even those cannot be grouped together sicne prepaid does not do that
