Exchange Ace for Moto G for FREE?

Hey guys, I need some helpful information to clear my doubts. I have a Samsung Ace as of now( bought it for $0 from Kodoo last year) and i want to get the new Moto G from Kodoo. Is it possible for me to exchange Ace with Moto G using their tab system and not paying anything? Please let me know as i am a bit bored of the Ace and want to try something new without paying for it!! Thanks.

Yes, it's quite possible. Not that they have expanded their tab even if you have some left to pay off on your Ace you can quite likely upgrade to the Moto at $0.
Thanks for a super fast reply. My current tab balance is around 95 bucks and it started at 150. Still possible? if yes, how do i go about it?

You have to pay off whatever negative Tab you have left and then you can go on small Tab, keep whatever plan you have, and pay $50 for the phone in store. Or you can go on Medium Tab and get it for free in store but you'll need a $30+ plan (or else you'll have to switch) and then pay $5 Tab charge until your balance is done, in 24 months or less. I wouldn't recommend the medium tab for a $200 phone because you'll pay more money than is necessary.

He still needs to pay off the tab when upgrading the tab size.

So, assuming i have a $30 plan; Option 1: 95+50 =$145 upfront followed by a $30/month bill. (not doing this) Option 2: $35/month for 2 years. (looks tempting to me) Jonathan, why would you not recommend me to go with the option 2? What am i missing?

Because you're paying more for less. I wouldn't advocate going on a $300 tab on a $200 phone. Either way, you'd have to clear the tab, so you may as well go with option #1.

You can also throw additional money towards your tab and pay it down quicker. Koodo opened that option up recently.

Hey Myke, How can one do that? I only see the option to pay off the entire balance at once. The only way I know of doing something similar is to pay more for the phone upfront.

If i do that, then i will spend 95 to pay off Ace. Then i have to pay addition 50 for the Moto G to start the new contract. Naah, too much money involved. I will keep the Ace. Thanks for all the info though, really helpful.

I believe the only option is to pay at a Kiosk with a credit card.

Also see if you can sell your ace for $50 or so to help offset the cost of upgrading. At the current rate of 10%, it will take a long time for your Tab to be paid off so I recommend biting the bullet now to have a better experience. Plus you'll be moved up to 15% contribution and 24 month guarantee.

Also once you paid off your tab(reached to zero), there won't be $5/month tab charge.
Thanks everyone for the inputs~ !!! Will make my decision by the end of this weekend!
