Downloaded 4.4.2 upgrade, now my phone is not turning on

I received an email on Friday telling me that my Nexus 4 doesn't work on the upcoming 4G upgrade. On Saturday received an update for the 4.4.2 upgrade and on Sunday my phone wouldn't turn on twice. I found a fix on Android Central which has worked, but is this supposed to be the impetus to upgrade my phone so that it is compatible? Or this is a new bug from the 4.4.2 upgrade?

I'd contact tech support with your handset on hand. 866-99-koodo option 6. Let them know everything as to what happened and they'll inform you of any issues with this update.

The Nexus4 DOES NOT officially support LTE. It does not have proper antenna support for the LTE frequencies. As for the problems with v4.4.2, if problems still persist with the phone being unable to turn on, I would recommend doing a factory reset which may resolve your issue.

How long are you holding the power button? You also can't downgrade an OS.

Actually, you can downgrade the Nexus4 to version v4.2.2 https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#occam

Hmmm, interesting. Thanks for that.
I called tech support and they did some research and found out that it is starting to be reported as a bug.

You could reinstall the one of the older stock roms onto your phone, but I do not know how tech savy you are and I sure do not want you to brick your phone or void the warranty. So if you are out of warranty and nobody from google or koodo can help you, check out this link and follow the steps, but be careful and take the time to read everything closely or you will completely brick your phone : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2010312 I repeat, this WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY (if applicable) and if you do not follow the steps closely, you WILL BRICK YOUR PHONE !
