Does MMS Use Up Data?

I recently switched to the new $28 plan with 100mb of data, and I've always had unlimited texting. If I send a picture (MMS), will that take up any of my 100mb of data? Or, since I have unlimited texting, will my MMS message be counted toward my texting, rather than data?

It will not use your data Geekzy, however there is a chance that other apps will use data if you are not on WiFi and data is switched on - something that is required for MMS 🙂

Will I need to change any APN settings? I attempted to send a picture to a friend, and it remained saying "sending", but never sent. How can I fix this?

You can check your APN settings against this site, see if yours are the same: http://help.koodomobile.com/plans-add-ons-data-and-other-services/data-basics/how-do-i-setup-data-on-my-non-koodo-phone

I sent a picture, but it says that I have used up 621kb. I closed all my apps that required WiFi, but it still took up data. I stopped background apps as well. The picture just doesn't send, and it still was able to use up 621kb of my 100mb data.

Hey Geekzy, You can download an app like Opera Max: http://koo.do/1FJaSqt to optimize and keep track of your data usage (only available on Android). A vertical timeline should tell you which app used data and when 🙂 If you have an iPhone, you can download Onavo Count (http://koo.do/1O7rWs5) or check your data usage from the settings (http://koo.do/1GjeXiz). Please keep in mind that a data connection is needed to send/receive picture messages but you will not get charged for messaging. The most likely cause of that 621kb was an application. Hope this helps! ******************************************** If you see a good answer, give it a star.
