Dead pixel in galaxy s4?

Hi I bought my S4 about 2 months ago and i recently noticed that my s4 has this tiny black dot on the top of the screen. You really have to look hard to see it, it couldnt be a scratch because ive had a screen protector on it since day one. My phone hasnt had any major drops or anything like that either. Althought it is tiny, it is a 700$ phone so I would expect more. What is koodos return policy like for things like this? Would they take it back? Im not even 100% sure thats what it is but thats all i can think of, its about the size of a fine grain of salt. Anyways thanks for any help.

Anything over 14 days from the first day of purchase cannot be returned. You can send it away for repair, but if it's found to have any physical damage or liquid damage, you would be responsible for the repair bill, which they would send you a quote first.

Just to add, your warranty period is one year from the date of purchase. Call Koodo or visit a Koodo kiosk to facilitate warranty repairs.

I think the rule of thumb is anything less than 3 dead pixels doesn't apply ... not sure if that's the same with Koodo but when I tried to return a product at Bell that's what they told me the factory told them when they sent my phone back without any work being done whatsoever. So if that's what the factory indeed said, I'd guess that policy still applies & would be out of the carrier's hands. As such, I'd personally wait until there's more than 3 dead pixels especially if the one isn't very noticeable.

Since you have a screen protector on the phone make sure that it isn't actually just a piece of dust that got trapped underneath the screen protector because it can easily look like a dead pixel, I've had it happen to me before and lifted the screen protector & walla the dot magically disappeared. Might not be such but something to check before sending it away

You could try Dead Pixel Detect and Fix app from the play store. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.htc.chris.blackspotdetect&hl=en
You could always replace the whole lcd if more die
