Can I change my phone # while in seasonal hold?

Hey Larry, Not quite sure about that but you could log into your self serve online and give it a whirl and then let us know if it let's you and then we will have the info as well. Sorry not more help but really something that I've never heard of anyone having reason to attempt this. Goodluck and let us know, thanks.

I have a line on seasonal hold and it gives me the option in self-serve to change the number. I didn't complete the process as I have no interest in changing the number on that line.
You're more than welcome to try, I'm suspecting that it'd work.
Keep in mind that if you have a device on a tab, the tab charge will generate twice during your billing cycle when you do a number change.

My worry is more of whether such a change will result in any penalty. For example, will it take my account/line out of seasonal hold. I did notice that the self-service tool does allow one to perform such operation.

BTW, I do have a device on TAB. The tab is $10 per month. If I were to change my phone #, the tab charge will be $10 in the month, right? However, the total tab charge would still be the same before the phone # change, right?

It would have to prompt you choose a plan if it were going to do something like that. And yes, the tab charge wouldnt be impacted by this.

There's no penalty for changing a number via self-serve. Do it yourself and there's no fee. If the system allows you, it certainly will not remove the seasonal hold.
You'd be charged the $10 towards the tab once on the old number, and once on the new number on your next bill. That means the tab will be paid off one month sooner during the 24 month agreement.
If that's an issue, YMMV, but customer service should be able to reverse the extra tab charge and put it back to the tab balance.
