Cannot send sms from USA

I have an LG H812. I have an unlimited sms and minutes with one gig data plan. I purchased a 30 days usa data roaming. Both data roaming and data are enabled in the phone. I restarted it but still cannot send or received sms.

Does it show that you are connected to a US network, Michel?
Hi Sophia. The phone shows two bars on five. My phone does not show me which network it is connected to. The phone shows me about six mobile network offering either wcdma or lte. So I do not know if the phone is on cdma or LTE. It is set to select any suitable network available.

Hmm try to connect to one of them manually... AT&T or T-Mobile are the most compatible, I think... see if that gets your messages through (hopefully)!

In your mobile network settings, try changing network type to WCDMA/GSM [b]without the LTE then restart the phone. You will most likely see AT&T or T-Mobile on your home screen.

I removed lte restarted and got connected to t-mobile and was able to receive abd send sms. Thats great. Why i cannot send via lte then? What is the small triangle for above the phone network strength bars?

I've had SMS and MMS not want to send properly in certain locations even when there are full signal bars. Maybe some temporary glitch in the "foreign" network handshaking. It's also possible T-Mobile is using some additional frequencies on LTE at your local tower that your phone doesn't expect. We recalibrated the bar to a lowest common standard, 3G, which is much more universal.

Don't know what that little triangle is... maybe a roaming indicator.

At least you're up and running.

The little triangle is indeed a roaming indication. Make sure to turn this setting back to what it was when you return to Canada.
