Are you using the Hotmail app on the phone or Outlook app? There is a "global" issue with Hotmail right now. Not too sure how long it's going to be.
I have found with my samsung device i have had to actually delete my account off the device and then go re add it and that has worked for me in the past. Also some times it because your hotmail has been hacked and if you log in on a desktop it will show you if its been hacked. hope this helps

I was trying that with customers yesterday and it didn't work even though it usually does. A workaround some co-workers found was to download the outlook app (hopefully free) and use hotmail through that. Issues were resloved. But before I left I noticed there was a Hotmail outage globally with no estimated time of restoral. Most people are still able to get into it via Outlook on their computer but not through the Hotmail site. Same for mobile.
did you try going to your accounts and sync? is it possible your hotmail is not syncing? you should be able to click on your hotmail and settings in there and see if it is set up to sync, I'm not having any issues with my hotmail right now.

Tyler is right Annette! Hotmail/Outlook has been experiencing issues so if those are the email accounts that you're using, you may continue to have issues until they fix things on their end. If you're using another email account, please do a battery pull. If that doesn't work - give us a call at *611 and speak to tech support. Hope things work out for you!

I'll admit, it is hit or miss with that issue. Not everyone is affected 😛
