cancellation, switching to other company

I just got a samsung note 2 months ago, I want to switch to another company, I have a tab balance of 194$ and billing, do I have to pay the bill and the tab, or just the tab?

you would have to pay the tab as well as the amount billed for the service. If you want to take your number with you don't cancel your account and get the other company to port your number
