Question

Can you have two separate bill credits at once?

This is a bit of an odd question, so bear with me please!

I switched about 6 months ago from a post-paid plan to a pre-paid plan. I currently have a 10$ bill credit for roughly another 6 months or so because of this switch. I'm currently on a promotional 35$/month plan, if that helps any.

I want to upgrade to either an LG G6 or a LG Stylo 3 Plus, both of which qualify for another 50$ bill credit over 6 months (8$/month).

My question is, how does it work when you're eligible for two different bill credits? Can you get both of them or do they cancel each other out?

Thank you for your assistance!

Those two should be stackable. However, these should not be available on pre-paid; might to be on a post-paid account?

I believe I got my terms mixed up, I switched from pay-as-you-go to a monthly plan to get the first credit, and then the second credit would be from putting a phone on a tab plan.

Thanks for your response!

Is the first credit of $10 bill credit for BYOD(Bring your own device)?
If so,I believe that your upgrade your phone on Tab will cancel out the first bill credit.

Did you get another personal bill credit for phone upgrade?

It is listed as a BYOD credit on my bill, however it was described as a bonus for switching from pay-as-you-go to monthly when I signed up. I'll go to my local store and see what they say, since it seems to be a niche case. I haven't bought a new phone yet so I haven't figured out what will actually happen.

Thanks for the response!

If it is listed as a BYOD credit, then it most likely cancel out...  But, at least you have another 50$ bill credit offer, correct?

Let us know what they actually say if you don't mind 😉
Then we might be able to suggest for other people who might have same situation with you 🙂

I will definitely reply to this when I get a definitive answer from a Koodo store. 🙂

Thanks Mayumi!
I checked in with Customer Service via e-mail and this was the response:

"Rest assured that, as long as you are eligible for a promotion, there is no limit on our system in regards to the credits that can be applied towards your invoices. Therefore, the $10 BYOD Credit that you currently benefit from will not be removed from your file at the time of the upgrade and when the new discount will be as well applied. Moreover, as BYOD means Bring Your Own Device, the $50 Credit will not be called the same since you are purchasing a new phone from us."

So Tl;Dr? Yes, you can have two different kinds of credits! Now I have to see if my local store is offering anything else, or if the online store offer is better. Thanks everyone!
